Description
Poster project for InDesign class that involved use of Photoshop and Illustrator for the image. We were to come up with a poster advertising the play "Chemical Imbalance" by Lauren Wilson, a Jekyll & Hyde production to be held Dec 5-Dec 8, 2013 in Lynn, Massachusetts.
The image was composited in Photoshop and prepped for Livetrace, and the illustration and type was finalized in Illustrator. I manipulated the face by increasing the brightness and contrast, duplicating and reflecting the face and brushing horns and teeth onto the duplicate to make a "Hyde." I then placed stock imagery of tree bark in between the human and demon/"Jekyll" face, stretched it out and did some masking so the faces appeared connected by stretching skin. This was to make a statement on the duality of the two characters, Jekyll & Hyde, sharing one body. I then saved the illustration as an EPS and finalized the poster design in InDesign.
