Description

This fractal was made possible through the inspiration of plangkye, from his deviation "Featherfest" Featherfest by plangkye. I sort of deconstructed the params and took it in a completely different direction :D This image is free for download and the params are open for tweaking.

Very nicely done - The thick borders and nested details they surround give the definition to the fractal, although it isn't a very original idea. There are no ugly overlaps or mishaps. The structure is very pleasant, and very detailed, and has edges that give it a rounded look.
The flip-side is that the rendering is weak, due to too many dark areas and pixelated regions. Also, the orange-yellow tones give it an overall dulling yellow hue that diminishes from the impact.
Improvements: Different gradient, higher rendering, and I'd like to see the blues inherit more of the other colors to give them a very subtle gradient look (so not much different that they are not). But structurally, it's perfect in my opinion.
